Basement Bliss

Its taken almost a year but it is finally near completion. We actually used it and invited friends over to watch the BYU vs. Utah game. We are expecting all to come visit now that we have a little more room.

Maui Baby!

This is the pool/beach at our hotel.
Our stop at Kaeleku state park. There is a really cool black sand beach and great swimming!

Ok, I guess we are limiting ourselves to two posts a year and here is the second installment. Just a few pictures of our trip to Maui. We had a great time and it was nice to relax a little. We did a lot of snorkeling, eating and just kicking back on the beach.

"Green" Landscaping

Once again our little community is doing our best to make Al Gore proud with a zero water consuming lovely tumble weed landscaping. This is looking out over our backyard fence into our neighbors yard just after a very windy day. This was us last year before we got our fence put up.

Basement update

These are the same angles as the last pictures I posted with just a little more finished. This is moving along a little slower than we hoped never the less it is moving. We all just cant wait for it to be finsihed

Edward Anyone?

So I just watched a great film called The Ultimate Gift. I highly recommend it. Ever since I saw who was cast for Edward I have been sadly mourning their lack of...taste (?) and have been wondering who would be a good fit. Ok--I realize it's a pipe dream but if I could have my druthers--I'm voting for Drew Fuller. He's the star of the Ulimate Gift and, well, just look. Do you see it? Change the hair a bit? I need a hobby, you might say, but cast your vote...

Paper or Plastic?

Ok I am just a little jealous that Candis got a post with 18 comments and counting, So I thought I would throw out there a heated topic of my own.

Paper or plastic at the grocery store?

Do you encourage the destruction of a poor defenseless trees or do your part in putting a whole in the ozone.

Im never sure which one to choose so when the clerk asks me paper or plastic I always say "yes" (to both). I guess it my little way of doing something for the environment.

Twilight Movie Casting Blunder?

So tonight I logged on to Stephenie Meyer's website to see if they have finished casting. Most of the characters have been cast. I must say that I am woefully disappointed in their choice for Edward! "Devastatingly beautiful" he is not. Rats. Maybe movie magic will help? What does everyone think? Check it out and cast your opinion. www.stepheniemeyer.com.

Under construction

This is looking the opposite way in to our family/theater room. In this room we will be enjoying 106" of HD projection bliss.........ahhh heaven.

Maybe we are hard up for material right now but I thought I would click a couple of shot of our unfinished basement under construction. This is what consumes almost every waking minute of our lives right now(this is sad) anyway it should be pretty nice once it is done. This shot is looking from the family room at what will be the bathroom

A night in " Ireland"

This night we were all to tired to cook(as you can see by Ryan's eyes being closed) so we decided to try out this cool little Irish restaurant. They had a guy singing traditional Irish music and playing. It was really cool. Oh and we all loved the food.

Minor Family 2007

We caved and decided to add our own blog site. We are still trying to figure out how to use it so hopefully this will get better as we go.

Just a little bit about our family...Lyndsey and I are enjoying being married for just over 2 years now. We spent both our first and second anniversaries in Hawaii and feel pretty lucky to have been able to have those experiences together. We have a beautiful house in West Jordan (some call it little Nevada) and are in the process of finishing our basement (should any of you feel inclined to visit us :). We will have plenty of room and a much anticipated (by Ryan) theater room.

Hannah and Eden are getting so big. Eden will be celebrating her 9th birthday tomorrow and Hannah will be 11 in August. They are both doing really well in school and are looking forward to the spring when they can start softball again. Last season was their rookie year and this season they will be lucky enough to have the coaching genius of both Ryan and their soon-to-be step-dad, Jason behind them.

We love you all and look forward to the next time we can all get together again.
The reason Hannah is smiling is because its not morning.
